Marketing software forgot it was for people
So we gave the machine a face, a process you can read, and a boss who is still you.
The blank page is the real problem
Most marketing teams aren't short on tools. They're short on the first sensible draft — the brief, the angle, the plan that makes the next two weeks obvious. Chief exists to hand you that draft on Monday morning.
Reasoning beats output
Anything can generate a hundred captions. Almost nothing can tell you why this campaign and not the other one. Chief shows its working at each of the ten steps so you can disagree with the logic, not just the copy.
The human gate is the product
We built the approval block first and the generation second. A marketing system that can publish on its own is a liability, however good it is. Chief is allowed to be bold precisely because it can't press send.
Fun is a feature
You'll spend hours a week with this thing. It should feel like a colleague you like, not a console you tolerate. Hence the face.
